Paying to park your car at Thorpe Park

Talk about a captive audience. I went to Thorpe park the other day and had to pay £5.00 to park my car. This added to the extortionate entrance fee was more than frustrating. Talking about being taken for a ride!

Paying to sit together on a flight

This has just happened to me now. Off to Cyprus at the weekend, booked a holiday through Thomson holidays and have to pay £8.00 per per person to sit together -thats £36 there and back. How can this be right? Also you have to pay a booking fee to pay with card! Outrageous.

Your plate being removed as soon as you have put your knife and fork down

So you are in a restaurant and have just put your last mouthful of your meal in your mouth. You are chewing and enjoying your last bit of food. Suddenly a hand comes out of nowhere and reaches for your plate. "Have you finished with that Sir?" Yes thanks you strain being careful not to appear rude by talking with food in your mouth. Not exactly silver service! Has this ever happened to you?

How often do you get silver service?

Constant iphone app updates

I don't know about you but every time I see an app needs updating it feels me with a sense of frustration. These little red circles in the upper right hand corner of the app just keep appearing! If you have many apps then the more updates you get. Sometimes the app is a 'minor bug fix' or sometimes more significant. Usually you can't even tell the difference. What I do know is that these updates eat your data and slow down your devices. Avoid the temptation to update your apps.

Having a conversation with someone and they get their mobile phone out to check it

This can manifest itself in various ways. The obvious one is when you are having a drink or a meal with someone and they get their phone out to check it. They can't help it - it's a habit and they don't know they are being rude, it can however make you feel like shit! The problem is a quick reply to a text message can turn in to a quick browse of Facebook and Twitter etc. Another way is when you go to the toilet and you look back at them when you walk away from the table and the first thing they do is dig their phone out of their pocket. It makes you feel that they wanted to do this earlier!

Someone jumping in front of you waiting at a bar resulting in you not getting served

This is a common one in the UK. The combination of a busy bar, useless bartender and a arrogant customer can mean you are overlooked. You try to make eye contact, you try to alter your body posture and still you don't get served. Any tips on getting served quickly? There are some here.

Looking at other peoples photographs

I don't know about you but looking at other peoples photographs bores me and frustrates me to death. Why would anyone want to look at photographs of someone else's holiday? There are also so many devices that these images can be viewed and thrust in front of you. So keep your wedding, holiday, party images to yourself please!
